Brief of the Project:

Within coming few years there is supposed to be a huge demand of technical manpower having knowledge and skill in certain ICT domains where business is shifting steadily. The IT-ITES industry in our country, striving to catch up with this pace globally, faces shortage of professionals and fresh graduates who can deliver from day 1 in projects involving emerging and in-demand technologies. In the fresher recruitment drives, the IT majors are now looking for fresh CS/IT and even non-IT engineers and science graduates having specialization in some of the emerging areas like Cloud Computing, Web & Mobile Technology, Enterprise Computing, Deep Learning, Python Programming, Drone technology etc. apart from some in-demand technologies like Control Systems, WSN, CAD-CAM and Computer Vision.

The engineering programs (particularly in CS, IT, ECE, AEIE etc.) offered by the University and affiliated colleges cannot always cater to the latest industry trends as the curriculum doesn’t change as fast as new technology emerges globally. So, the need for high intensity technology training in the emerging and in-demand ICT areas backed up by professional grooming of the target students passing out or passed out from the colleges.

Objective:

• Train the students in some of the emerging ICT areas and professional skill for enhancing student’s employability
• Assist in arranging internship, project and placement of students undergoing training in emerging ICT areas
• To upskill graduating, post-graduating and unemployed students in engineering (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech) and science with CS/IT background (B.Sc/M.Sc in Comp. Sc/IT or BCA) for enhancing their employability
• Sustainable job-oriented training model.
• Placement and internship opportunities of the students
• Bridging of gap between industry demand and academic outcome
